Several of our PC got infected with a virus. I have followed instructions to remove it, but now I have to boot up the PC in Win-98 safe mode. It says to keep pressing 'F8' but that only lets me boot up in win2000. Does anyone know how to boot into safe mode for win98 with the dual boot?

Thank you.

Have you tried the Ctrl key immediately you select win98 from boot menu? (I don't use the 2000 boot menu to multi-boot win98, so don't know - but Ctrl key gets you to menu for safe mode in single boot win98)

When you see the section where it wants you to select the operating system. Press F8 and then select which safe mode you'd like to boot into. -Brad

I personally don't dual boot but from what I've heard if you go through those steps it may not say "safe mode". If it doesn't select the operating system anyway and it should boot into safe mode if you have pressed F8 before making your selection. -Brad
