how can I view my folders use the Details settings ?

I believe this is the same procedure for W9x OS's.
Open a folder, any folder, change it to Details view.
Open Tools, Folder Options. On the View tab, there will be a button for "Like Current Folder".
This changes all future opened folders to the same view as the one you just customized with the details view.
