We are using Access 97 for a library database and wish to use a nice feature found in the Northwind Sample Database. I'm rather new to Access. I opened a blank database and imported the "Customers" TABLE, "Customer's Phone List FORM, and "Customer Phone List" MACRO into this database. I then opened the FORM and clicked on the alpha letters at the bottom of the page. Everything works perfectly. Is there an easy way to import this feature into my "Library Database", or will it have to be built from scratch? If so, how? I would like to be able to click on a alpha letter to reveal all the Library Table Records (Titles) that begin with that letter. Thank you very much for your help.

Doesn't have to be built by scratch but you can copy and paste code....tables etc...or import the only problem is what they are attached to and whether or not it is the same in your database.
Most of the time databases have relationships and certain actions that depend on modules in the particular database research that first then try it in a dummy database a prototype of sorts then work out the bugs. It will take a little time but in the end it can work out.

Thank you for responding, Ninabunny. As I said before, when I isolated the three objects(?), the TABLE, the FORM, and the MACRO, in a new database; they worked perfectly together like they should in the new database. My library database is very simple. We have a TABLE with about 1500 library items (books, videos, etc). We have a FORM for entering the data into the TABLE. I tried importing the aforementioned objects into our Library Database and then attempted to change references within each of the objects in Design View to refer to my database. No luck. I just get warnings that things are not yet set up correctly. Sorry I am so ignorant of Access at this point. Is there any source for the Northwind Database describing how (step-by-step) the parts of this database were built, especially the MACRO? Something tells me that this is where my problem lies. Again, thank you for your time.
