How can I stop Netscape from starting?
I've got a small irritant that has me ready to eliminate it. My problem is Netscape Navigator 4.72. It is installed onto a shared computer running Win2k at work. I was hoping to install 6.2, which I did, but the guys who uses Netscape hadn't switched to it. As it turns out, 6.2 is not allowed in our environment, so it's now uninstalled.

Personally, I use IE, and Outlook. My real problem is this. On occasion, without doing anything on my computer, the profile login for Netscape pops open. I can close it without any problems, but I don't want it popping up at all. Also, while I'm in Outlook, and when I open URL links in emails, the Netscape profile login pops open. Unless I copy and paste the link (if it is available), I've got no choice but to use Netscape to view the HTML files.

How can I stop Netscape from automatically openning up the profile login window, and have Outlooks HTML links open with IE as the default?

Thanks in advance.

To get your Outlook HTML links to open using IE try this:

Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Folder Options
Click the "File Types" tab.
Scroll down until you find "HTML".
Once you locate "HTML" highlight it by clicking on it.

Click the "Change" button. You should then be prompted with a "Open with" list. Locate IE and click "OK" and click "OK" again.

Now when you click HTML links in Outlook they should open with IE.
