there are many ways to do this. try using an invisible counter such as They will supply you not only with ip addresses, but a lot of other useful information.
Other ways, webtrends and other reporting programs also, does your hosting company supply you with website reporting, it if does, check and see what they supply as far as information. Most companies use webtrends which gives pretty indepth information, ip, domains, downloads, errors, etc.
