Hello Everyone:

Is it possible to save my .dbf file to a .pdf file? Can anybody please tell me how and can I send an email and attach the .pdf using outlook?
Thanks

The simple answer is to use the List command to a printer that's currently selected as a PDF driver. Perhaps you can provide more specifics on what you need, or do a search on .PDF (above), and read some of the many threads that discuss many possibilities.

As for sending the email, check out the FAQ's here: There are several ways shown to send emails.

FYI: in the faq I wrote, it shows attaching files using UUencode... I've since found that many email programs don't know what to do with the UUencoded file.

I've been experimenting with MIME/Base64 encoding, and I like it alot more, but don't have it in the faq yet.

Thanks for your reply. Here's what I want to do. I want to have a standard form when I print my file but I want it to save as a "pdf" file so that when I send an email, I can attached the pdf file to my mail.

Thanks

MY3MCS,

Two ways:
1. As Rick have already explained, assuming you have Adobe PDFWriter or Distiller installed (full version of Adobe Acrobat), you can print your report directly to PDFWriter and generate a PDF file or;

2. Use a third-party FRX conversion tools like XFRX (check for more info). Just like other PDF utilities for VFP, XFRX can be integrated into your VFP apps.
