In a program I am developing for a dentist office management, I have tested the database with fake patients.
The problem now is that after removing all the fake patients, I want to enable the dentist to start numbering patients (automatically) from 1 and not after the last number I had of fake patients.
Same thing applies for the treatments.
My question is: is it possible to reset the counter? If yes, then how?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
Eman

I assume that by "counter" you mean AutoNumber fields in your tables.

If you delete all the data from the table and then compact the database the autonumber fields will reset to start at 1 again.

Thank you very much
That worked perfectly.

Eman

Eman, please read my (very short) page on autonumbers. It's quite clear that you are laboring under a common misunderstanding of what an autonumber field does. It's in the developers' seciton of my old website at
