I'm trying to remove data extension 2017 which used to be a data mod for our old R300 remote office system. The system keeps saying "Must disable associated link before removing data module". I gotta say I'm stumped. I can't find this link anywhere. Here is the current programming on the extension.

DATA MODULE

Data Extension: 2017 Name: R300 Bike Patrol
Type: ethernet
Port: 03B1117
Link: 5

Network uses 1's for Broadcast Addresses? y

Anyone know what the heck the system is talking about?I want this extension gone!! We have an S8700 CM 2.1

Use the command "list usage extension 2017". This will show you what the data module is currently assigned to.

I tried that first and got nothing. Which is why I posted this.

This has changed a bit since the G3R days. On the R it was ch ip-ser (I believe) and there you could disable the link to remove it or just change the IP address. Now it is "ch ip-inter and the port number". That will let you disable it to remove.

do a 'li con bo 3b11' see if this is a clan, or val card. then do a 'ch ip-int 3b11' and put a 'n' in the enable ethernet port section, then remove the data module.

You can tell it's a CLAN based on the fact it's using port 17....
