How can I recover folders emptied from the recycle bin ?

I accidentally deleted 2 folders ( about 175 MB total) and emptied the recycle bin !! Is it possible to recover these 2 folders or are they gone for good ? Please advise .
( I used Win98 SE on my PC ).

I can share a discovery of mine on a free demo version of a commercial product which, despite what said and I was surprised too, can recover and save deleted files. Go to :

http://www.rognerud.com/file-recover/index.htm

and download its free demo version for win98/95 according to your need.

Unzip it to a _floppy_ diskette. (It is very small in size.) And run the .exe from the floppy diskette, no need to install.

I used some really good software from a company called "ontrack" to recover an entire hard drive after a full format was done on it.

Thank you Tsuji and Stealer for your kind suggestions.
I tried out Tsuji's suggested software and I was able to recover almost all files ( except 2 files in poor condtions! ).
I'll keep Stealer's recommended software in mind for the next unfortunate opportunity to try it out.
