I accidently deleted some certificates in "intermediate Certification Authorities" in Internet Explorer.

How can I recover it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks linney.

After installing the authrootstl.cab provided in your url, my XP is okay now.

Patrick, could you give me the link to download it please?

I think it's ok, I was reading this post and was looking in certificates and accidentally deleted the SSL certificates.

That should give you brand new certificates.
Advise again if there is a problem.

best,
Bill

hi bcastner,

In another problem:

After 2004/01/07, my firewall detected that many applications such as EXPLORER.EXE, WINWORD.EXE, Norton's CCAPP.EXE needed to connect to crl.verisign.com to find the new certificate.

I have tried your solution in Thread608-746263.

But my firewall still sometimes detect such connection up to now!!!

Please help!

I do not think they are finding a new certificate, but the certificate is being checked.
You should permit the behavior, or under Internet Options, Advanced, uncheck "Check for publishers certificate revocation."
