Title says it all - I'm supporting Norstar's that I didn't set up and need to see what the programming is before I change it. Oh, and the kicker is that I'm doing this remotely - so going to site and putting a printer on the KSU isn't really an option.

remotely as in using a cp or vm manager on a nam??? or just listening to it

You have to disable the CCR tree before you can change it. The easiest thing is to run a report and you should find the info there.

You can read a layout but not what is recorded -cannot do remotely. Better off to call in after hrs and go through all the prompts.
You cannot change the CCR Tree remotely either.

Best you make going to site an option.

actually it easier to forget what it did before and just do from scratch...recording can be moved or added to so just rebuilt a new tree and over write old

Curlycord - I have someone locally to do the recording, but I still don't know to see what the options are.

DigitalD, do you mean that I have to disable it first and then the entries will show up when I go into the tree?

No, you can still see what is programmed under the CCR programming without disabling the tree. Why can't you connect the VM and print the reports? The reports will tell you what mailboxes are programmed and all the Config info. To listen to the actual greetings you can call in and listen to them.

How do I print the reports REMOTELY? I'm in Massachusetts, the KSU is in Connecticut.

When I get to the point where I select CCR and it asks me for what tree, the next prompt I see is CHNG PRINT QUIT. If there's a way of showing me the prompts, I'd love to know it. PRINT only yields a screen saying "Printing" and doing nothing else - and I don't have a printer attached, so that does nothing. And the only other option I have is CHNG. Which doesn't show me the old value in any given field, as far as I can tell.

That is for a local printer off the NAM. You have to use NVM Manager 4.0 to connect and then you can save the reports to your PC and then print them.

Can I connect remotely with NVM Manager 4.0? And can I download that from the Nortel website?

Yes you can connect remotely and the software is on the doc/software CD.

The point of all this- CCR changes will not take effect if the tree is enabled in a table. When you select CHG after inputing a tree, it will tell you "Tree Enabled", and will not accept changes made to it until you disable it. Browse to your heart's content.
