i have had a ms accesss db working under ms access 97. Unfortunatelly, i have upgrade to ms access 2000 and some applications stopped to work. My DBs still remains in access 97, except one.
So, i have uninstalled the 2000 version and reinstalled the access 97 version.
This version doens't recognize that unique access 2000 db version.
Please, how can i bring it back to 97?
Thanks!

Ok, it is a bit hard to undersatand your message . . . lemme see if I can sort it out.

Scenario:

You have a database that was created in Access97, You upgraded to Access2000 recently and converted the Access97 database then to Access2000. When you did this, you noticed that some things would not work right in Access2000, so you decided to uninstall Access2000 (you of course converted the database back to Access97 before doing this I hope), then proceeded to reinstall Access97. Once you did this, you now have a dilema . . . THE DARN THING WONT WORK?

Is this accurate, if so, please let me know so I can solve your problem . . .

Without having to reinstall Access 2000 you could get someone to convert the db back to Access 97 who has A2k installed.

Load up access 2000.

Goto the database window.
click
-> Tools
-> Database Utilities
-> Convert Database
-> To Prior Access Database Version

That should do it! (hey, it works for me!)

First: sorry for my poor English. I'm just a Brazilian lawer.

Second: Rick understood the message: I want to convert a db back to access 97 after have uninstalled access 2000 and reinstalled access 97.

When I uninstall the access 2000, i did'nt know that i could convert back the db.

Can i do this without access 2000?

thank you again

Percy
