How can I print generic text on a dot matrix printer using the printer object in Visual Basic? When I print using the Print method the output is graphics text and it's extremely slow in printing. Is there any way we can use API functions to make it print in generic text format? I need help on this regard ASAP. Thanks.

The easiest way to do this is to create a printer of type generic/text.&nbsp;&nbsp;It will ignore any font properties.<br> <p>nick bulka<br><a href=mailto:nick@bulka.com>nick@bulka.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Thanks for your your reply! Could you please write me the source code to do this. Or do I have to do something in the Windows Printer Settings? Please reply ASAP.

Just go to the printers folder (Start,Settings,Printers), add a local printer, Select &quot;Generic/Text&quot; and assign it to LPT1:<br> <p>nick bulka<br><a href=mailto:nick@bulka.com>nick@bulka.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>
