I would like to simple start my access db, then run a subroutine then exit (close the db. Can this be done ???

Thanks for any help ...

Get the subroutine so that it does what you want it to do. Then, in your autoexec macro, call your code with the RunCode action. Finally, use the Quit action to close the database.

Ever notice that by the time that you realize that you ran a truncate script on the wrong instance, it is too late to stop it?

If I understand your question, you want to open the database, run the macro, and exit the database.

1. Create the macro and include exit application.
2. Right-click on macro and export to desktop as shortcut.

That's it.

Now, all you have to do is double-click on the desktop shortcut and sit back and watch.
