I want to make sure that the navigation bar in the top frame shows up and that I don't have a lot of green space before the bottom frame starts. My boss wants to have the pages fill the entire screen. I have shaded the edge of the image on top so I don't have a hard edge and it fades to the background color. The link is
I like how the tek-tips page top and side frame collapses and I copeied part of the frame.css to make my page do the same, but there must be more to it. Thanks for any direction. [reading] [reading] [reading]

You have <frameset rows="*,436" ...

For users (like me) who do not have their browsers maximized (or may have lower res screens), the top menu bar is truncated and I do not see the navigation at all unless I increase the size of the browser.

You may try changing your source to <frameset rows="155,*" ...
or whatever you need to display all of the logo and nav bar. (where 155 is the height, in pixels, of your image and rollovers combined).

Also, the tek-tips pages do not appear to use frames, per se. They do have a stlye sheet named frame.css but no frames.

Traingamer,

Thanks, I set the first number to 155 and it works. Things are so simple once they are understood. You are right about the frames on this site, of course. It really is neat how it works, is that javascript that does the collapsing? Thanks again. Richard [wavey3] [wavey3]

I think you still need to increase the height beyond 155 although that was a vast improvement in my browser.
The 'collapsing' is all done with 'div' tags and CSS. I think it just appears to 'shrink' because it loads so slowly.

Thanks, for that, I incerased the height again. I am wondering if when you roll over the navigation on the site
the red border lines between the cells come and go, some times depending if you move right to left or left to right? I have another site and the red border lines stay during roll over. If you can see any reason for them to do different things Please let me know. I have been over and over this but can't figure it out. I will greatly appreciate the knowledge. Take care Richard [flip] [flip] [flip]
