How can I get IP address of a pc on Net. Neighborhood?

One way to do it is to Open up a DOS prompt. Then in Net Neighborhood get the name of the PC in question and in the DOS prompt type
ping (computername)
without the parenthesis. In most cases your PC will give a reply with the IP address.

As I stated this is one of MANY different ways. I use this one where I work. Please let us (Tek-tips members) know if the solutions we provide are helpful to you. Not only do they help you but they may help others.
