Yes, it should be simple and obvious, but I can't find it.

I created a Database Maintenance Plan using the DMP wizard. The DMP wizard, in turn, creates the SQL Agent jobs so that the plan is executed according to the schedule.

I no longer want the DMP to execute. I can find no way to do this from the dialog that appears when you click on the plan in the Database "General" screen (at the bottom, where it has entries for DMPs).

I manually deleted the SQL Agent jobs (the wizard creates one for integrity checks and another for optimizations), but the DMP still appears on the Database General screen.

A search of BOL reveals nothing. I thought the SQLMAINT utility might have a /DELETE switch or some such, but no luck.

foxdev,

I am using SQL 7 and it is pretty easy to delete a Database Maintenance Plan.

Using Enterprise Manager:
Expand the Server with the Maintenance plan located on it.
Expand the Management folder
Click on the Database Maintenance Plans icon
Right click on the desired Database Maintenance Plan and
select Delete.

Hope this is what you were looking for.
