Hi, I have installed a third DC offsite, what tests can I do to check the server is doing it's job eg Replicating to the ofther DC's?

Thanks

S

In AD Sites and Services you can drill down to the NTDS settings, right click a server and click replicate now. This will tell you if it was successfull.

Another way is to put a text file in the Netlogon folder on one server and the look to see if it appears in the Netlogon folder on you other DC's.

You can also use the Active Directory Replication Monitor which is available in the Win2K/2K3 Support tools on the OS CD
