I have an Excel file with Pivot tables that uses data from an Access database that use to reside on the local drive. I had to move the database to a share drive. How do I change the path to the new location?

Thanks

Saki

In the MSQUERY editor...

goto the SQL view,.... change the path (usually declared at the end)

How do I get to MSQUERY? In Excel where I have my pivot tables the Edit Query is gray-out.

Thanks,

Saki

Are you saying you can refresh the data but not edit?

If so is there any protection on the sheet?

....or you may have to get to the link via the pivot table wizard>back....select data range.

When I refresh the data, this is the message I got "Could not fin file 'C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\UONG_S\Variance.mdb'. I then click the OK button & this dialog came up "Data Source" where it asks me to provide Login name and Password. The login name has admin value in it. I don't know what to input here but when I click on the Database button it gives me option to select the Database. I selected the database on the share drive and this is what I got [Microsoft]ODBE Microsoft Access Drive] Could not fin file 'C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\UONG_S\Variance.mdb'.

Thanks

ETID, It took me awhile even after you've shown me the way. It works, I finally got it. Thank you!
