The problem: I have M7310 phone (ext. 21225) connect but not working properly. When I look into the config, I realize that this ext is configure like an M7208. Anybody have an M7208...

What I would like to do, it's only to change the model.
Is it possible to change only the model, or if I need to delete it and reprogram it?

Thanks in advance!

try plugging in a different model phone and let it initialize and then plug in the phone you want to have working on that port...say a 7324 or 7100 to refresh to a new template

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Under user preferences on your NRU, the option to change phone type will be present..

I already try with user pref. in NRU but the model field is not available, is gray, I can't change it. I look for other number (not use) and the field is white, then I can change the model. May be there is something to do before the field be available??

You can change the model in user preference through a phone set as well... provided you are using a compatible software version. I think 5.0 and higher I know 6.1 for sure

the system detects the model of the phone ...automatically

Are you sure your on the right phone number??

Use Feature * 0 intercom key to verify DN.

like sinks says, system will detect phone type when it loads up. I've worked with norstar for many years and never had to tell system what type of set was present.

There is a purpose for changing phone type in terminals&sets > user preference.

I use user preference to pre-program telephone ports. Un-equipped ports always deault as 7208's. So unless you manually change the phone type first, when you copy a 7316 to an unequipped port, even if you use copy system+data, buttons are not copied unless you first tell the port its a 7316 (or 7310).

Thank you to all of you guys! The way I find (with your help)to resolve my problem... With NRU, in the maintenance, I find the port of the extention, I disable and re-enable it, and the system detect the right model automatically. That's it That's all.

Thanks again !
