What are the various ways I can capture abandoned callers phone numbers? G3r R7. BCMS. Intuity AUDIX. I use MicroCall call accounting. Already checked with them and not able to do it.

dmoore,
Thanks, that's what I thought. I've used those applications in the past. But before I tell my boss there is no way to do it with our existing limited equipment, I need to exhaust every possibility. She sits behind her desk and sez "There must be a way to do it....." And I say, "Uh, I'll see what I can do."

We get abandoned caller information via CDR. We do have vectoring & EAS but I think what controls is via a SYSPARM CDR option(s). We have "Record Called Vector Directory Number Instead of Group or Member?" set to "n", we also have "Record Agent ID on Incoming?" set to "y". Calls that abandon can be found in CDR as calls to the controlling Skill(Hunt Group) extension. Perhaps there is something similar in a non-EAS world.

What jfh9219 said - we do the same thing world wide. You can use linux on a simple P2 as we do and all you need to do is ensure the database is up to date with all the VDN numbers from the PBX.

Avaya, Octel, AUDIX, CMS and other fun stuff.
