How can I build a Midi Sequncer in Delphi?

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me here. I want to try and build a 16 step drum sequencer in Delphi. I have installed midi in out components and built a small virtual keyboard but now I would like to create a sequencer so that i can layer baseic loops. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
