Hi:

I would appreciate your help in blocking the right mouse button to prevent the use of our images by others.

Thanks for any help with this. I couldn't find the answer by searching.

Cheers,

Gus[/tt]

Hi Gus,

First off, the no right click function is minimal security at best. The following script is for images.

One thing about disabling right click in general is that it is a PIA and it can prevent users from right clicking to save the site to favorites.

The no right click on images script will discourage novice users. However, there is no preventing someone from viewing source and linking to your image by using the img src.

Another way to discourage the saving of images is to place a transparent gif over the image in question.

Remember, they can save the page and still keep your image.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal Smith

Dear Micheal:

Thank you for your reply. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.

I wonder why intellectual material on the web seem to be fair game for people.

Thanks again for your help.

Sincerely,

Gus[/tt]

I "borrow" images all the time from other web sites. Using the no right mouse click script won't stop anyone who knows how to do a print screen and paste the image into Photo Shop.
