I have added and tested a view and a couple of small "Name List" tables to a SQL 7 DB in development environment. The existing DB has been in production for a while and contains quite a bit of critical data.

Is there a way to add the new definitions to the production DB without damaging the data?

TIA

I'm not sure what you mean? If these are new tables/views, then you should be able to create them on the live server without having any effect on the other tables/data.

This DB, along with the VB 6 programs that interact with it, are installed at a customer's site. The customer does not have remote maintenance capability and they are quite a distance away.

The VB 6 is not a problem; easy update. Maybe I have a critical gap in my knowledge, but I do not know how to accomplish this without going there and installing EM and making the changes. I am hoping to figure out a programmatic way to add the definitions.
