You may try posting this question in some of the Microsoft Office application forums Tek-Tips has available. The reason I say this, is your question is not really VFP related. A quick search out on Google would also give you some results. I typed in:
hide splash "Microsoft Word" and instantly found out that Word has a command line switch for turning off the splash screen...its /q
