XP Pro OS with 5 user logins ... one hotmail email account ... all logins were able to connect to the hotmail account but now only 3 of the 5 user logins can connect ... Hotmail claims the .net server is busy or experiencing difficultly for two of the users yet we can immediately login from any of the other 3 user logins ... there must be an obscure user configuration that is causing the problem but not sure where to go from here ... removed all cookies and temp internet files, reset internet settings to default plus cleaned out all norton firewall programs (NIS 2003) (Note: disabling Norton under these 2 users doesn't solve the issue either)

Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to resolve this problem.

Have you tried deleteing their accounts from the machine then try recreating them again?

Sorry--I thought the were connecting through Outlook.
All all the user accounts running with the same rights?
Have you checked for spyware?

yes also ran adaware 6 and the users are all at the highest level ... like I explained this appears to be some obscure configuration issue ... maybe I should try renaming the user then add user (6th user) back and copy user generated files?
