Hotmail - Blank Screen

Am using windows 2000 at work, the hotmail has been working fine untill recently; when I click on the hotmil icon from IE page I get a white blank screen; have checked the anti virus protection access and nothing has been changed, no new programs added, all is the same as before, any suggestions? Well, if this were a Windows 2000 issue, it'd of been best to post there rather than the Windows ME forum.

However, I don't think it's a Windows issue. It sounds more like a browser issue, so long as it is an issue on your computer, and so long as you know for certain that it is not malware.

For one thing, you can try setting IE to the default options, in case you've changed anything there. Also, it'd be a good idea to make sure that the proxy server settings are correct.

Besides that, you say this is at work. It very well may be that your employer is now blocking access to "personal email" sites. I know my employer does. There are various reasons for that type setup in a corporate environment - data security, primarily...

Thank You for the feedback, shall confirm with the employer if any such changes were made, also I was under the impression that the two progs were similar (2000/ME)

Windows ME comes from the Windows 95 family tree.
Windows 2000 (NT5.0) comes from the Windows NT family tree

MS was attempting to merge them but didn't succeed until XP (NT5.01).

XWB > Thanks for clarifying the difference between the two; I did confirm with my employer and there has been no blockage of sites as such, also did check the proxy settings and they are correct.
