Hi,

I am very new to Exchange and was wondering what the best practices are in regards to updates and hotfixes in Exchange. Is there a way to view what is already applied or a way to automatically search for updates?

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

If you have the resource available, the best solution is to use Microsofts WSUS as a central update solution. As well as looking after your Exchange server it allows you to control updates across your other servers and domain clients. You can monitor all the updates that you have already installed as well.

It's well worth while to spend some time setting it up, and best of all it's free...

You will need a fair bit of disk space though to store the updates...

Hope this helps
