Hi all, I need to know what hotfixes are installed on some W2k machines; is there any tool, or command, to enlist the hotfixes and pacthes?
Thanks for your help
Leonardo

Sysinternals ( has this tool called psinfo which can do a lot of queries (locally or remotely). For your requirement, you can use

psinfo -h \\remote_pc

S.Manaois.3

The Resource Kit has a tool called srvinfo which should give you those details as well as other information on the machines it is run on.
You can easily write a batch file to run from a central machine to query all the workstations and output the results each into a text file with the workstation name.
Download the Windows 2000 one from or the Windows 2003 one from

Of course to check for what patches/hotfixes are missing, have a look at the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer -

Claudius (What certifications??)
