I'm am trying to get a client sold on Citrix, but they are heavily dependent on HotDocs.

Anyone had any experience with HotDocs in a Citrix environment?

I would contact tech support, I did find this document...

With the release of HotDocs 5.2, users sharing computers with others or using Windows Terminal Server can now use HotDocs settings specific to them without losing their individual settings when others log onto their computer and use HotDocs. This is possible because HotDocs 5.2 (which is a 32-bit-only application) supports two separate Windows System Registry entries for HotDocs — one in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and the other in HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

When a user installs HotDocs for the first time, HotDocs makes entries and assigns some default values in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry. Then, when a user uses HotDocs for the first time and makes changes to the way HotDocs is configured on the computer (such as turning on spell checking or creating or opening new libraries), those changes are recorded in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. When that person logs off of the computer and another person logs in, changes which the new user makes to HotDocs are also recorded as a new entry in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry — separate from any preferences set by the first user.

As HotDocs receives program commands, it first checks the HKEY_CURRENT_USER section of the registry. If it doesn't find any preferences there, it will then look in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section of the registry and use those values that were specified during installation.

This may cause some confusion, however, when users uninstall and then reinstall HotDocs, expecting to restore all of the first-time-used default settings. This is because the uninstall program deletes only the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry entry and leaves the HKEY_CURRENT_USER entry in tact.

If you need to uninstall HotDocs and want to delete your user settings, you must delete the CURRENT_USER setting in the registry.

HotDocs 6 users: Instructions for removing registry settings created by HotDocs 6 are located in the HotDocs 6 Help files.

To delete the CURRENT_USER registry for HotDocs
Click on the Start menu and select Run.

Type REGEDIT and click OK.

Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Capsoft.

Select the Capsoft folder icon (by clicking on the icon once) and press Delete. Click Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.

Using Find (Start menu) locate HOTDOCS.INI. Delete this file as well.
