hosting website problem with server name

I'm running windows 2003R2, have IIS6.0 installed and have the default web site setup with a index.html file. My problem is the file I need to access via the web which is created by a program only puts in the server name. I can't get to the servername via the web, therein lies my problem. how do I get documents.companyname.net to point to

http://servername/WebSearchV3/index.aspx?context=loginform

I manually changed the servername to documents.companyname.net, but it brings up an error code from that WebSearchV3 program.

You could configure the Default Web Site to redirect to

\WebSearchV3\index.aspx
