I am setting up a web server using W2k Advanced Server
but I only have one IP address available and I want to
host multiple sites.

I know I can host sites by putting them in a virtual
directory and using the
My question is:

How do I set up the server so I DO NOT have to use the
virtual directory name in the url. I want it to
automatically send the to the correct
virtual directory. So each individual site can have it's
own .com address. Is this possible? If not, is there an
alternative for me to host multiple sites with a
single IP and allow them to have their own .com address.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Yes this is possible.
Go to the properties of each site, go to the 'Web Site' tab, click on 'advanced'
Edit the line, and set as host header name the name your website has to respond to
e.g.
Do the same for all the other sites ( and so on)
It will work without problems... Peter Van Eeckhoutte
