We currently are a CS1000M environment and use Amcom/Xtend's Medicall for our Hospital operators to perform their "locating" function (find/page/alert individual or unit for another team member. As well we have the WebXchange app for the staffmembers to input their oncall and regular schedules and escalations. We are considering acquiring their Amcom Mobile Connect module to communicate with smartphones (Rogers/Bell Blackberries mostly). Wondering what others are using.... Thanks Nicole

we are running the same lines, add t-metrics replacing symposium for call centers. non software managers had a hard time with symposium reports. instead of bringing managers up to speed the hosp spent the money to dumb down the system, for wireless, management went with cisco, since the manager knew how to spell that name. no interface with a cell provider. a

cisco wireless is not a bad stand alone, but a unique did for wireless instead of sharing a did with your deskset. lost call pickup, group call etc,, but cisco does interface with call pilot cleanly,, running qsig pri instead of itg
i've worked in a dozen hospitals, they tend to run behind tech and change it management and direction more often non medical customers.
