OK- I got a problem that I hope some can help me with.
I have a home alarm system with a network card. It has all the facilities to create emails when alarms occur except no means to insert a password or user name for connecting to my email server (Comcast). It has everything else-SMTP address, return email address, email address etc.
This Alarm network card connects to my Linksys router on my home LAN. Is there a piece of software that I could run on one of desk tops on my home LAN that would read the email message fron my alarm network card and forward it to the internet with my username and password?
Thanks for helping...

Hmm, I think you will need a personal mailserver of any kind. Anything small that can SMT will do. Search google for a free mailserver for your OS.

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
