You could try and find out which socket communications are active from HMC agents on the LPAR, and from the remote IP address, work your way back to the hmc name.
You could also make an entry in /etc/hosts for "myhmc", but granted, that's an extra configuration step. And what if you have two HMCs in a hi-availability config?
