When I click on the arrow next to the address in IE or on the address bar in the task bar to see the recent history addresses it takes about 15 secs for it to open. The cursor changes to the hourglass and waits. It only happens the first time I do this in a session. If I log out and log back in to windows it will do it again once. Any ideas? Not a real problem but annoying. Temp dirtectories are not too full. I regularly empty them. I think I might have disabled a service or something that it has to load once.

I stumbled upon the answer to why this was happening. The Indexing service was not starting automatically. I was trying to fix another problem and in order to do that an error message stated that I had to start that service, Indexing service. Now in both areas the history appears in regular time. Some program must have switched it from auto to manual or something. Thought I would update so anybody who peruses this thread will have an answer.

I don't index and history is instantaneous (XPHE). Do you have a LOT of history?

Agh, It started again.....Annoying more than anything else. thought it was too easily solved. Aww well back to the waiting game
