I have a job coming up later this week on an ip office v2 8.0 where the customer is moving
from gamma to hipcom. I have been chasing hipcom for the required credentials and have also been
asking what the routers ip address will be so I can setup an ip route in the same manner as the
current gamma sip ipdc setup. Keep getting knowhere when asking these ques.
I got the sip trunking 4.2 rev manual from them and will follow this to the letter. Noticed in the
manual it mentions uk.dc.sipconnect.hipcom.co.uk ( direct vpn access BYON )
and uk.icsipconnect.hipcom.co.uk ( all other products ) and gives the following proxy addresses
85.119.61.4 and 85.119.63.4 . This is the first hipcom site I have done so just looking for any
pointers on how its normaly set up to the ip office. They have provided me with the username and
password for the main sip number and info ( see below ) that just seems to relate to the leased line . Would it
be the uk.dc.sipconnect if its getting presented on a leased line. From this info I have been given
do you reckon they are expecting me to connect the phone system direct to the leased line presentation
and have the ip office using a public ip address. Any advice would be appreciated .
