Every year a bunch of my friends and I get together and have a bit LAN party. This year the games we've chose are humungous. So big, in fact they won't fit onto a DVD. Because I don't think that everyone has a dual layer DVD player, I'm trying to find the best possible way to compress these games and place them onto a DVD (or two).

So here's my question, what is the most powerful compression format. We're talking about games here so I need to know what I can get to reduce their size as much as possible.

Thanks!

I have had luck with 7zip, but if you try to compress over 4 gig you will be there a while.

Every DVD-player(reader) is supposed to be dual-layer compatible, just not every DVD-writer can write dual-layer DVD's.
