Hierarcy

Hi All,

I have dimension table as you see in the picture.
District_Key is the key joining the fact table. But I like to create a hierarchy with New_DVP column and summarize the measure based on the New_DVP.
Can anyone help me for this?

Rollups, aka snowflake type dimensions are created during dimension creation. I am not sure if you can rebuild the dimension and add a rollup; you should check on this if no one can confirm one way or the other.

An alternative is to create a new dimension that includes the rollup and add that dimension to the fact table. Then eventually, retire the other dimension.
