Hi there,

does anyone know how to either
a)disable the tables tab on the database window
b)prevent the database window from appearing - programmatically rather than by setting from the "start-up"
menu

i don't want the users to enter data directly into the tables.

thx

Create forms based on the tables. In Tools-Startup disable all the tool menu bars. You can play with these options until you get the desired result and then convert your database to MDE format. This will discourage most of your users from getting to the tables. Only those that know how to bypass with the F11 key or Shift key at startup will give you trouble. You can also disable the F11 key in the Tools-Startup area.
