Hi - anyone know how of any free utils to make the mouse cursor disappear after a couple of minutes of activity?

I currently have to move the mouse off the bottom of the screen when watching full screen TV, this is ok, but would be better if it disappeared by itelf. I have seen apps for $15 that will do this, but seems a bit of a rip off to make the cursor disappear, why doesn't windows build this in??

Thanks!

I don't know, but my mouse (Emprex cordless), has a setting to eliminate the cursor when typing.

yes this is also a windows setting but I want it to disappear when there is no activity so it's not on screen when watching a video. Seems such a simple thing is actually quite a task!

If you were to make it disappear in Windows, Window's logic stipulates you would never get it back, short of a repair install. I think your current solution is the best one.

but surely the cursor is able to wake up, like the way a screen saver turns off when you move the mouse. Like I said you can buy the applet for $15 and you can also do it in VB relatively easy, it just surprises me that there's no other way, even making the cursor transparent!
