HI

I run XP on a PS2-400mhz CPU, not a fast machine by today's standards but have upgraded the RAM to 256k.
All offline tasks are operated well.

Online with a US Robotics 56k win modem with IE ver. 6.0, I am experiencing "line freeze" regularly which means new pages do not come up and incoming is stopped.

Is this problem related to my low powered CPU?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 
My guess is that it is not your CPU speed. I think a little tweaking of your dial-up connection would help a lot. (As likely would a new driver set if one is available).
