Hi,

I have data on a few NW4.11 servers that i am trying to consolidate into 1 existing NW5 box. I am having a hard time finding a good tool that will migrate the data over while maintaining the trustee assignments, IRF's, etc...

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I appreciate your advice.

Thanks for the response..

I have tried using this utility before but to no avail. The destination server needs to be a minimum of Netware 5.1.. The destination server I need populated is Netware 5.

Any other tools you have seen?

Thanks again.

I could have sworn that I've used it for NetWare 5.0. I think it squawks a little bit, or claims it is untested, but the end result is the same.

The issue, if I recall, is that the modules it needs to load might have difficulty loading on 5.0, depending on your config. But through a little troubleshooting, you should be able to make it work.

Since the source server remains in tact, there's not a lot to lose by trying. If it doesn't work, you're just out a little time.

I don't know of anything else that works really well, except perhaps backing up to tape and restoring to the new server, and using the option to restore trustees.

Hi,

You could always copy the file structure over and then perform a Tcopy which copies over the trustee assignments.
