Got this problem with a ArcServe Mailbox Restore.. does anyone have ideas on what might be causing it..
I tried a trial restore on a test account we have. This account has only five emails in the inbox.
I did a restore “by session” and ticked the mailbox for the “Test” account.
A small monitor/status window came up and displayed the following status descriptions in this order -
Ready
Locate Session …
Skipping
Disconnected from media
Active
From “Ready” to “Disconnected from media” took 4 minutes 32 seconds according to the Event Timer in the monitor window. After this it appears to just stick on “Active”, the Event Timer in the Window stays at 4 minutes 32 seconds. I left it for over an hour and nothing changed. The emails in the mailbox are not restore. I have to stop the Arcserver engines and rename the Job Database to clear.
Tried it three times since yesterday with both “Overwrite All Files” and “Skip Existing Files” but just freezes on “Active” each time.
Any assistance much appreciated, note the backup log for the backups indicates successful backup of the individual arcserve mailboxes using the Arcserve exchange agent.
