Hi all,
I have a FastRAD. I can connect using operator assistance Feature 9*0, but it would not connect by modem direct connect.
I did assign a line for the Rad extension and set the rad to auto answer ,answer delay is 18,but when I try it says "busy" when I call the line from a phone it just disconnects.

When you say "modem direct connect" do you mean remote connection? direct connect is by using a serial cable directly to the RAD.
Also, what line did you assign? You don't actually assign a line to the RAD extension, instead, you tell the RAD which line to answer. Some older Fast RADS need a firmware patch to work with lines that are not on the core.

ok Marv looks like this is not one of your best days. but its ok I used the wrong words, thanks for the reply.
I did tell the RAD which line to answer.
I did mean remote connection (without operator assistance ).
Is there a way to check if I do need a firmware patch or not? I don't have it anyways

When you call it from a phone, do you hear the carrier tone after your 18 seconds before it disconnects? And, when do you see the "busy"
You'r right, I'm not having one of my best days, but would still like to see you get this working.

Looks like it was the line ,I changed the line and it worked like a champ.
Thanks a lot for the help, you were the only one who offered it and I do appreciate that
