Several phones were moved from one PBX to another, both of which are S8730 running CM 5.2. The complaint from some, but not all of these folks who were moved is that when they place a call, and then conference in a third party...chat for a bit, and hang up to leave the other two parties connected, the call drops.
This is happening on several stations, but not on all. I have tested with both the working and non-working.
The same TN2224B v10 board is the port source for a 'working' phone and a 'non-working' phone. The station on port 11 loses the conferenced call after hanging up, but the station on port 24 does not.
Trunk-to-Trunk transfer is the same on both PBXs. I went through every page in System Features, and they are essentially the same (other than switch-specific extension options).
Also trunking can't be the issue since the working and non-working phones use the same pipes outbound. Ports are not the issue, since we share a common board with both working and non-working. Agent ID calls are not involved, as we tested with that by logging the user out before calling outbound. The use of the Conference button is not an issue, as each user is doing it correctly.
Question: Why does this happen if we have two different extensions sharing the same digital board, same trunks, same button features, same phone type, same origination location, and same dialed number?
