HELPPP!!!! DISTRIBUTING CR8 WITH VB APPLICATION

I am using CR8 Designer in VB6, to export the crystal report out put to WORD. It works perfect If I am executing my VB application on my machine, when I am installing this application on my users machine I am getting an error "Run-time error '429', Can't create Activex Component".
Please advice.

Did you build a Windows kit with the VB Package and Deployment wizard and install the kit on the user's PC? Did it give you any registration errors when you did that? Brian J. Alves

Hi BALVES
I did build my exe with VB's Deployment and Package Wizard and I did not get an errors on it. I have kept/build my .exe on a network drive and I am testing my project from my users computer. I am not sure about the WINDOWS KIT YOU HAVE MENTIONED. I am pretty new to this environment, so I am bit confused with the terminology. Can you please elaborate your answer..

If you really used the Package and Deployment Wizard, it would have created a standard SETUP.EXE file and a .CAB file with all of the files the client PC needs to run your application. This would include the VB .EXE, VB DLLs, Crystal DLLs. If you created Crystal .RPT files, you would need to add these manually in one of the dialog boxes of the Wizard.

After you've successfully built a windows kit, you install it on the client PC just like you would install any shrink-wrapped product you buy for Windows.

i get the same error, but, when i look for all the dll files in the windows system directory, miss some files like mfc.., and when i try to register manually this dll i get the error tha get... failed register the dll
