Is there an extension for outlook for helpdesk requests?

What type of helpdesk request do you mean. One for an internal company to contact their helpdesk, or a request button for contacting Microsoft.

You can create a VB application which uses the mailto protocol to send the message.

You need to add a toolbar and a link to this program.

Can also be done for a webpage

Sadly, no built in function, but keep trying.
