I have a G3V8 and need to know how I can utilize the CDR function to analyze a call coming in on an ISDN T1 from MCI.
They are not sending it correctly and would like to find out where the problem is.

Anyone have any advice?

Appreciative as always!

does v8 have the list trace function? Im thinking cdr probably wont show what you want to see.

The other way if tried to resolve the issue is have the trunk strip digits till i figure out how many they are sending.

It does have the list trace. What would number would I be tracing?

do a list trace trunk xx

have someone place an inbound call on that trunk, you will see all the call set up info, and what digits the telco is sending.

I think you need to do a list trace tac... the trunk option isn't there.

Thanks,
Chris

Pardon my ignorance, but tac would be what...?

TAC = Trunk Access Code.

Check out the top right on the trunk field.

Group Number: 1 Group Type: isdn CDR Reports: y Group Name: T-801 COR: 1 TN: 1 TAC: 3501

lever

you can also do a list trunk-group

it will list all the trunks and show the TAC for each.

Just to let you guys know what the problem actually was. 877 was not entered for the incoming call handling on the MCI trunk setup
