Hi,
Is there a way to find out the no of detail records in a group which is having a sub-group.
Ex: Country, State are 2 groups in which State is a group in Country. Detail records show Counties in each state.

To find the no of detail records in State the notation is
Count({county},{State})

To find the no of detail records in Country what is the notaion?
Also I want to know how many groups (states)are there in the supergroup (Country)? Is there any notation in Crystal Reports?

I wouldn't worry about the notation.

Just use the dialog box provided with Insert Running Total Field (pre V8) or Insert Summary Field (V8). You can create a counter, pick the field you're counting, and decide when to add 1 to the counter and when to reset the counter.

The purpose of getting the two counts is the I want to center the group heading to half of the count. So I need to get the count at the group header itself so that I can use 'whileprintingrecords' and check each line to center the heading at that half count.

Hey guys? the doubt is:

I try to pass a data value by parameter field, and i use this line of command(IN VB):

RptFat.ParameterFields(0) = "DataInicio;" & Left(dtpPeriodoDe.Value, 10) & ";True"

when i run the system in visual basic, in the moment are data is putted on report, shows this error msg:
"err 20533 Invalid parameter field value"
the parameter field is configured for data values. i haved configured to string values,but, i continue without solutions to this trouble. People, help me!
